A Journey from Creation to Meaning

My name is Tosh and this is the story of how KarmaLove was born in 2015 — not from a business plan, but from a moment of truth. After years in the fast-paced fashion industry, I found myself empty. The system I was part of — mass production, constant change, endless consumption — no longer resonated with what I felt inside. Something in me knew: I had to bring meaning back into what I do. To reconnect textiles with soul.

The Meaning of Karma & Love

Nepal became the answer — a place where slowness, values, and craftsmanship still carry weight. A land that breathes simplicity and depth. Here, KarmaLove found its first home. The name came naturally: Karma — because everything we do is bound by cause and effect. Love — because everything begins and ends in love.

India, Nepal & the Sacred Origin

During a yoga class, resting in Shavasana, I noticed that most people wrapped themselves in simple towels or synthetic blankets that lacked a sense of beauty and sacredness. I felt drawn to create a cherished piece with personal meaning — a reminder of our belonging, our shared breath, our unity.

Quotes that Carry Intention

Each scarf became a gentle reminder — a quote, a message, a touch of consciousness — a way to bring awareness, gratitude, and connection into daily life. It was, and still is, a quiet counterpoint to a world moving too fast.

From Grief to Grace – A Personal Turning Point

Over the years, this journey has deepened. A profound personal loss became a turning point in my life — the deepest pain, yet also the greatest awakening. In the stillness that followed, during months in Buddhist monasteries in Thailand and Nepal, I learned to sit with grief, to breathe with it, and to find peace beyond it.

What KarmaLove Stands For Today

KarmaLove has become part of that healing. A vessel through which I can share what I have learned: That even in pain, there is beauty. That compassion is the true luxury. That everything — every thread, every breath — belongs to the same flow.

Today, KarmaLove stands for connection, gratitude, and love in action.
It’s not just a brand — it’s a gentle reminder: That we are all part of something greater.
That the way we create matters. And that love, when shared, multiplies.
