For centuries, Turkish hamam towels — known locally as Peştemal — have been part of everyday life in Anatolia. Born in the traditional baths, they are loved today for their lightness, their quiet elegance, and the way they dry almost as fast as they get wet.
Our towels are woven in Denizli, Turkey — a region that has carried the country's textile craft for generations and remains one of its great weaving centres. Carefully selected cotton yarns meet traditional inspiration and modern technique: soft, durable, highly absorbent — at home on the beach, in the sauna, in the studio.
Unlike terry towels, a hamam towel grows softer with every wash and folds down to almost nothing. We work closely with local weaving and finishing specialists whose craft reflects the rich textile culture of Turkey.
Made in Denizli, Turkey — inspired by tradition, crafted for modern living.
Washing & Drying
Wash before first use — it increases the cotton's absorbency. Machine wash in cold water (30°C or below) on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Skip fabric softener and bleach: softener coats the fibres and reduces absorbency, the weave softens naturally with every wash. To protect the hand-knotted fringes, tie them loosely or use a laundry bag. Line dry or dry flat away from direct sunlight — the flat weave dries quickly. If needed, iron on a medium setting or steam briefly. Make sure the towel is completely dry before storing.
